Andreas Markwalder, President of the Foundation Board, Vice-President of the Investment Committee
Since 2004, Andreas Markwalder has been President of the Board of Trustees and a Member of the Investment Committee.
Since 2014, he has also been the Director responsible for operational management at GastroSocial. Before that, and since 2000, he served as Head of Asset Management and CIO at the GastroSocial pension fund, where he was responsible for assets under management of CHF 5 billion and the Real Estate / Mortgage business. He is also President of the FIDIP Real Estate Investment Foundation and Vice President of the Board of IST Investment Foundation for Pension Funds. He is also active as an Executive Member of a real estate company and member of the Executive Board and the Management of IGAKIS Syndicate for Compensation Funds‐Information Systems. Previously, he was self-employed as an IT and business consultant in the pension fund sector.
Andreas Mark Walder gained a degree in economics at the University of Zurich (lic.oec. Publ.) where he specialised in business information systems.
